My Dad, Carl Frederick Miller Jr., is truly the greatest father ever. Dad, I've been reflecting lately about everything you've done for me and the family. I realized I don't say "thank you" nearly enough. So, I want the world to read this article and know that if I could go back in time, I would have said "thank you" a million times over. I especially appreciate how you worked so hard to provide us with such a wonderful life. Moreover, you have always been there for me, in good and bad times. You taught me what it means to be a kind and caring person. What a mighty lesson in life to learn, from a great teacher. There are so many memories that I hold deep in my heart that we shared together, and I will never forget them. Such as, one night when I was around eight years old, I wanted so much to hear the song "Space Oddity by David Bowie", and we sat in the car for hours you trying to find it on the radio for me to hear. You finally found it and we sang it together so graciously; it was truly one of the most warmhearting nights of my life. I WAS SPECIAL, and you loved me. To this day, I love that song and not because of the song but because of the love I have in my heart for me and my dad shared a moment in time where no one else mattered but me. To the man who gave me everything; I will always love you Dad, and I am thankful for the life I have because of you. Happy 85th Birthday, your daughter Denise.
