Senior Data Engineer

Wal-Mart is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Reston, VA. Job duties incl but not limited to understanding, articulating, & applying principles of the defined strat. to routine bus. problems that involve a single function. Bachelor's or equiv in CS, IT, Eng'g, or rel. fld + 3 yrs of exp in SW eng'g or rel. exp; OR Master's or equiv in CS, IT, Eng'g, or rel. fld + 1 yr of exp in SW eng'g or rel. exp. Skills req'd incl but not limited to exp w/: Stream/Batch data processing & bld'g automated ETL pipelines using Apache Spark; Bld'g frameworks to extract data from multiple data sources like GCP, REST APIs, RDBMS, NoSQL etc.; Hadoop, Hive, Spark, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, GCP Big Query etc.; Bld'g data pipelines using diff. prog'g languages like Scala, Python or Java.
