Principal Engineer II

Hughes Network Systems LLC seeks a Principal Engineer II - Customer Networks in Germantown, MD. Define, design, and administer network systems used for data communications. Recommend improvements necessary to ensure operation of the company’s high traffic, business critical, and internet production environment. Manage the load configuration of a central data communication processor. Propose and implement network system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the network system. Requires: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Artificial Intelligence , Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field plus 10 years of experience in job offered or similar roles. Must have 10 years of experience in each of the following: C++/Java; TCP/IP, HTTP, SSH, and various networking protocol stacks.
